What this site is

The site is a single page describing a house, a page about the coach house, and four pages of small print. It has no booking engine, payment page, account or login, so most of what a privacy notice usually has to explain does not arise.

If you only read it

Nothing identifying is collected. Analytics and advertising scripts do not load before you answer the bar, and if you decline they do not load at all.

Two entries in your browser

• 08_ludlow_age_ok — written once you answer the age question, so it is asked once per device.
• 08_ludlow_consent — written when you answer the cookie bar, so the answer holds.

Both are local storage. They stay on your device, carry no identifier and are removed when you clear browsing data. If your browser blocks storage the site still works, and the questions are asked on each visit.

Server logs

The host records the request, the time, the page and the browser string. These are ordinary hosting logs, kept for thirty days and then overwritten.

If you write to us

The form carries a name, an email address, a telephone number if you give one, dates if you have them, and the message. It arrives as email and is kept with the booking correspondence for two years, then deleted.

Analytics and advertising

None today. If a tag is added it will be Google Analytics 4 and a Google Ads tag, loading only for readers who accepted. Consent Mode v2 sets all four signals to denied in the head of every page before any other script runs.

Lawful basis under the UK GDPR

• Consent for analytics and advertising, given at the bar and withdrawable from the footer.
• Steps at your request for the contact form.
• Legitimate interest for server logs, so that the site stays up and is not abused.

Who else sees it

The hosting company, the email provider, and Google for the tags above once consented to. Nothing is sold and no guest list goes to anyone for marketing.

Your rights

Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent. Write to the address above or to [email protected]. We answer within one month and do not charge. If the answer does not satisfy you, the Information Commissioner's Office takes complaints.

Children

This site is not meant for children, and the coach house admits over-18s only. Nothing knowingly collected from a child is kept, and if you think a child has used the form, tell us and it will be deleted.

Changes

The date on this page moves when the text does.
