Temevale Casino
The casino is the coach house on this plot, at the bottom of the garden
Temevale Casino is the coach house at the end of the walled garden. It is part of this house, run by the people who run the house, and it shares our Ludlow address. You walk to it down the garden path from the front door.
It is about sixty paces from the front door, along a path that is lit and gritted when it needs to be. Someone is on the coach house door every hour the room is open.

Five tables under a 1790 roof
The casino floor has five tables and a short bar. On a Thursday in January only two are open, and it feels like a card room in somebody's house. On a Saturday in food festival week all five are going and the door counts people in.
The casino room went up about 1790 and the roof timbers are the originals, so the room has the shape it has and the bar is tucked under the low side. There is no music. A stove, lit from October, is the only heating.
The casino has no dress code, and most people come down in what they wore to supper. The one time somebody arrived in black tie, the staff talked about it for a fortnight.
18, and checked every visit
The casino age here is 18 by law, and the house applies it to everyone. Photo ID is checked at the door on every visit, even for guests who ate at the long table an hour earlier and are known by name.
The casino accepts a passport, a driving licence or a PASS-accredited card. A photograph of one on a telephone will not do.
Under-18s are not admitted to the casino at any hour, even while the room is shut and the stove is being cleaned out.
Agreed with a person, written down
Limits are set on the casino floor with whoever is working it. Give your figure before you sit down and it is written down and held for the evening. If you would like a figure suggested, ask and they will offer one.
Staying away from the casino is arranged in person at the house, and cannot be done in the coach house or over the telephone. Self-exclusion is signed at the hall desk and takes effect the same evening, and it is lifted only by coming back to that desk in person.
The casino floor offers no credit of any kind, and there is no cash machine in the coach house, the garden or anywhere else on the property.
No games, bets, deposits or payments on this website
This is a land-based casino, in a coach house behind a guesthouse in Ludlow. The site describes the room and the house in front of it, and it runs no games, takes no stakes, opens no accounts and moves no money.
To play, you come to Dinham, walk down the garden, show identification at the coach house door and sit down. That is the only way in; none of it happens on this page.
